The project "Let's Take Care of the Planet" promotes the dialogue between European youngsters and the reinforcement of their knowledge and engagement on sustainable development challenges.
"Let's Take Care of the Planet Europe" follows the lead of the international project initiated by the Brazilian Ministry of Education, in 2009, which has culminated in the International Conference "Let’s Take Care of the Planet" that took place in Brasilia, in June 2010, gathering over 400 youngsters of 47 different countries . Together, they have written the International "Let'sTake Care of the Planet" Youth Charter.
In 2011 -2012, local activities were organized in schools, and then a European Youth Conference was held in May 2012. Later on, in June 2013, three facilitators chosen during that conference were present at the Earth Summit Rio +20 to make the voices of the young delegates of the European Conference heard.
In May 2015, the 2nd European Conference has been organized following the local activities in the different countries. Their voice was brought to COY11 and COP21 in November 2015 by 4 delegates and 1 facilitator.
