Activities in Lithuania

In 2015 - 2016:

During the school year students did science researches, created posters and presented them at the National Students and Teachers Conference "Environmental Development”(2016-04-08)

Our school students also take part in online contest "Smart Day 2016", which takes places for the first time in Lithuania.

In 2013-2014

A National Conference "LET's TAKE CARE OF THE EARTH" was organized in Zemynos secondary school in Vilnius, on March 21, 2014, on the theme Science and Environment.

185 students, teachers and guests from 5 Lithuanian schools attended the event:

1 Vilniaus Žemynos gymnasium

2 Vilniaus J. Paulius gymnasium

3 Vilniaus Žirmūnų gymnasium

4 Vilniaus S. Daukanto gymnasium

5 Vilniaus M. Biržiškos gymnasium

In 2012-2013

Vilnius secondary school carried out a big eco-project on the themes Waste and Energy.

They organized a conference about Environment History and Ecology on March 20 (the Earth Day ).

Productions : the students prepared posters, Power Point presentations in Lithuanian/ English.

The students cooperated with Turkish and Russian students.

In 2011-2012

In March 2012 our students aged 14-16 participated in a school conference. The main objectives of this meeting were to discuss on the responsibilities and actions, write collectively the national Charter of responsibilities and to elect 2 delegates that then participated in the European Conference in Brussels in May 2012.

The selection of the delegates for the European Conference was based on the action proposal poster, communication qualities and the level of English skills.
